Winter Warm-Up at Bolton Steam Museum Bolton Our volunteers have rescued and restored 27 old stationary steam engines - some of the engines which once powered the cotton mills and woollen mills of the North of England. The collection includes 2 rare beam engines (the oldest is 180 years old!). We have a wide variety of different types of steam engine and most will be running in steam on these 2 days only. Come and see these magnificent monsters in action! 10.00am to 4.00pm.
