Bookstart BookCrawl
The Bookstart Book Crawl is for children aged 0-4 years. Children can start as soon as they become members of the library. They are given a collector's card on which they can collect a sticker each time they visit the library to borrow books. When they have collected 5 stickers they will be awarded a beautifully illustrated certificate, there are 5 different certificates to collect. Ask at your local library for details. Bookstart is a national scheme to encourage families to visit the library and share the joys of reading and looking at books with babies and toddlers. All libraries have collections of board and picture books suitable for babies and toddlers, and many libraries have regular storytimes and craft activities for the very young.
