Air Training Corps

Cadet membership is open to young people, both male and female, between 13 and 20 years old. To find your nearest squadron use the interactive map on their site. Also do Duke of Edinburgh's Awards.

Army Cadet Force

The ACF helps 12-18 year olds to learn new skills and improve themselves in many different ways. Gives young people  a taste of Army life, as well as allowing them to stretch themselves away from school and to find out how much they can achieve and have a lot of fun in the process.  Also do Duke of Edinburgh's Awards.

Ellesmere Port
Rainbows, Brownies and Guides in the Ellesmere Port area. We are desperately in need of new guiders, please contact Laura Taylor if you are interested. Some units are in danger of closing due to leaders reaching 65 (Girlguiding UK's compulsory retirement age). Most units have waiting lists, please don't wait until your child is of starting age before you contact a unit as she may not get a place, Laura can tell you where your nearest units meet and you can put your child's name on their waiting list.

Chester Sea Cadets
Chester Sea Cadets is great fun for learning water sports, seamanship and life skills for young people aged 10 - 18 years.  Held Monday and Thursday nights at Chester Unit (Nr the Race Course)  + sailing on weekends/special events.

St Johns Ambulance

Half St John's Ambulance volunteers are children! Badgers (6-10) meet weekly  to learn skills through fun activities and outdoor pursuits. Cadets learn first aid skills and attend community events (10-16). Also run Young Carers' Project supporting young people who care for a relative etc.
