Research shows that sick and premature babies can have their chances of survival and long term development substantially improved if fed with breast milk. Milk Banks collect and distribute breast milk to poorly babies. Could you be a breast milk donor? If you have decided to breastfeed your baby you will know that breast milk is the ideal food. It is especially important for babies who are sick or premature – like baby Charlotte. Giving these babies breast milk increases their chances of survival and helps their long-term development. For just a few minutes each day to express off your extra milk will help many babies. The hospital provides sterilised bottles for you to use and collects the milk direct from your home when convenient to you. It’s really that simple!

Small, friendly group providing the opportunity for parents and their
toddlers to meet on a regular basis to socialise and meet new friends.
Wednesdays (term time only) from 10:00 am
until
12 noon. Children under 3
years old are admitted free of charge, children aged 3 years and over are
subject to the normal Fun4All admission charges. When you arrive at the desk
please ask for the NCT sheet to sign in on. We
usually occupy one of the sofas, either near the under 5's play area or near
to the food/drink till. We have an A4 poster on the table to make us more
noticeable, or you can ask one of the staff members to direct you to us. If
you are pregnant or have a baby who cannot yet walk, do still come along as
there is an Under 1's play area and lots of seating areas! If you are not a
member of the NCT you are still very welcome.
